My name is Caroline Millott I started at the age of nineteen, creating and running a successful fashion company in Ireland. I designed and produced my own style of clothing for fifteen years.
I first took up yoga after the birth of my daughter in 1971 and was amazed at the benefits I received from my daily practice. I would not say that I am a Yogi, but over the past 40 years I have always returned to Yoga when I have felt stressed, anxious or nervous because of the many benefits I experience.
So in my late 30’s while going though a tough time I stated painting and discovered that it came easy to me. I paint portraits, I am self taught, I love colour and people, when I am painting it is like meditation for me, nothing else enters my mind.
In my late forties, I moved to Spain to paint and opened a gallery showing my portraits painted with oils. I also started a unique style of painted furniture. My interest in colour and design inspired me to transform furniture that I brought from auctions into colourful piece’s of art.
Several years ago while on a trip to India I started having Ayurveda massage’s to cure a painful frozen shoulder. After two weeks of daily massage I was able to move my arm and shoulder without pain. I was so impressed not only with my shoulder but all the other benefits I felt, relaxed and at peace, my skin soft, my hair shining, my eyes bright, I got completely hooked. I have been returned to India many times to experience the wonderful benefits of Ayurveda and Yoga.
